I'm having trouble installing a JVC stereo in my girlfriend's 1996 saturn sc2. I've checked all the wiring numerous times and there isnt a problem there. The problem is the orange battery wire i suspect. I've checked it and it reads @ .13 ohms when the car is off. The ignition lead reads fine when the car's on ACC. I was wondering what's going wrong here? The cd player does not turn on at all no matter which lead connects to the stereo's new harness (the battery lead or ignition lead). Also, when i connect the yellow factory ignition wire to the battery lead of the new stereo... and turn the car on i hear the cd player active inside for about 3 seconds then shuts off. What can be the problem?! Any help would be greatly appreciated, as i'm very frustrated over this. Thanks

Have you checked all of the wires with a volt ohm meter for volts. Check the ACC wire for a constant reading around 12 volts. Check the IGN. wire for 12 volts when the car is on, turn the key off with the meter still hooked up and the volts should go to 0 or some small decimal. Check the ground by putting the ground wire on the meter to the ground wire on the car. Then hook up a 12 volt wire from the car to the 12 volt wire on your meter. If it grounds properly you should show about 12 volts on your meter. Let me know if this helps and what you come up with.
