i like my factory cd player but want to add an amp and subwoofers with out chanchin it.

they sell adapters to convert speaker outputs into rca. go to your local radio shack, places like that. I forget the "technical" name for it. Jus tell em they know what your talking about

you want a speaker level to low level line output converter. If you have a bose or similar you may need others if you plan on changing speakers but yeah if you are adding AN amp get a line level converter they are like 25 dollars in the united states.posted_image

Just to add to this thread, if you buy an amp, buy one with a high level speaker inputs and then you won't need the speaker to line level converter as it will be built into the amplifier.

just as an addendum to Jeff's good advice:
If you're looking to expand by way of electronic crossover, EQ, multiple amps etc, go with the line-level converter.
If all you want to do is add a single amp and subs, do as Jeff suggests and go for an amp with high-level inputs.
