I've seen ad's in CA&E about a new sub from MTX. MTX says that it is better than the W7's from JL Audio. That is a pretty big statement since the the W7's are supposed to be the be all/ end all of sub's right now. The web site says there is only one dealer in my area and I just happen to know the owner so I'll see if he has any. They are also cheaper than the W7's.

I got the 9500's in last week, and have been experimenting with enclosures.  The first was a vented enclosure, and it sounded decent, just needed to tune the vent a little lower.  The next enclosure was sealed.  Holy crap, this is truely a cleaner and better sounding than the w7, and I own a w7.   They slammed out loud clean bass in my demo room, then once put inside an actual trunk, again, holy crap, it sounds great.  Now, this speaker does not kill the w7, or destroy the w7 as MTX proclaims, but since i have both woofers, i let my ears tell me the winner.  MTX.
