i was wondering which of these two subs would be best? and what kind of amp to push these subs?

The Comp VR is defiantly a better sub. I would suggest a JBL 1200.1 https://www.purecaraudio.com/subcatmfgprod.asp?0=200&1=352&2=-1 if you were to go with (2) Comp VR's and a JBL 600.1 if you go with 1

i would go with the comp vrs and maybe an mtx mono block or rockford,kicker amp etc to drive the subs .200 watts per sub is fine on the comp vrs although theyu can handle a lot more.

I would say that the W3 and the comp VR's are on just about the same level.

man go with the L7s they will slam like no other!!I just installed 2 12 inch L7s with a 900 watt kicker amp and these things were sick i mean i am shaking windows in houses 1 block away lol. other than that i would go with the comps they ar eawesome subs kicker makes a great product.

In car audio mag...they have a gran national with TWO L7 18" subs....it is SWEET..

L7s are nice for spl. very nice. Just remember to feed them very well, or they will throw up
