Is 500 watts to a S12L7 not enough juice.  I know you need to give these things the power they need and with a RMS of 750 I was wondering if throwing 500 watts to them was too low!  I have a 1500 watt mono amp and am either looking to do 2 S12's which would be them at their RMS or 3 S12's which would put them around 500 a peice??!!

Comments???

Thanks

i would go with at LEAST 750 a piece....they are very power hungry

I would go with the 3 if you can fit them. They are power hungry but they dont need there full rated power to get the big bass going.I have 2 12" L7 and i have 425 watTs a pice going to them and they kick better than most subS i have heard yet. ACTUALLY I HAD TALKED TO A KICKER TECH TODAY AND THEY NEED 500 Watts for optimum performance, he told me and I AGREE BECAUSE I HAVE LESS power AND I DO SOME MAJOR DAMAGE WITH MY 2 SUBS!!

I'm using an AUTOTEK XS1600X, which will do around 1500 at 1ohm....(according to Autotek anyway) but I believe that's at 13.8 volts too!

I would go with just 2 subs. The more clean power you send to these the better!
