I bought a fan for my amp rack its power connector looks like one the plugs into a computer how do you power this from your car stereos power distribution. Just hook the ground and power and ingnore all other wires.

if its a 12V fan just hook up the grounds and the 12V, you dont need the 5V.

You will need to use a SPDT relay https://www.the12volt.com/relays/relays.asp
https://www.crutchfield.com/S-mBy8SC1KQ7K/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=120E5000  You will run the fan as well as your amps remote turn on leads from the relay. Below is a diagram of how to hook it up. You will only need the power and ground wires on the fans wiring harness.
Positive Input-----> Positive Output Relay Diagram:
„X 87 - Constant (put a 3 amp fuse on this line)
„X 86 : GROUND
„X 30 - Remote Wire Accessories ( amps, EQ's, processors, fans  )
„X 85 : Remote Input from HU
„X 87a: NOT USED
