never messed with car audio in fords with factory amps now i hooked up my eclipse 8443 u cant get sound without hooking up the amp wire so the amps power and the radios power is going to the speakers correct? is this good or bad how do i hook up aftermarket speaker when i do do i take the amp out now later,leave it in ?

Hey Ethan, it's a 1996 Ford Thunderbird. It proabaly has the Premium system in it. What you need to do is either

1. re wire the entire system ( this is what I suggest ) and bypass the factory amplifier and wiring. If you are wanting to build yourself an SQ vehicle, this is the best way to go

2. Use the OEM wiring & bypass the amplifier at the output harness.

ya its a 1996 thunderbird with the premium sound i think there are 5*7's all the way round in the doors and in the side panels in the back
