Multi-Amps?

hey. Ok, this may sound like silly stuff, but HOW the hell do you run more than one amp per sub? And I don't mean, one per coil. I mean, I see people running 4 amps and more into a dual coil sub. Any idea how? cause my (Yeah, I know) ALUM12's would be much happier. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, the subs have to able to handle the power. Second, the signal has to be powerful enough to be split to each amp. Third, the amps have to be able to handle the really low impedances ( I.E. 1/2 ohm impedance stable). Then, just wire them up in parallel.

I'm not sure I follow, so bear with me. What I have is one ALUM12 which has dual 6 ohm voice coils. I also have a pair of A1300HC amps, capable of plenty of wattage into a 1 ohm load. Now, one amp, running into the coils parallel brings it to a 3 ohm load. What I was wondering, is how to hook both amps up through the same sub? Can I simply wire them to the speaker straight, or would they both try to push against each other since the output wires would be touching, and pushing against each other? Or do I need some sort of giant diode or something?

as far as I am aware you cannot connect more than one amplifier to a single voice coil.
It's not a good idea anyway,
just use a single, larger amplifier.
