Just looking for some opinions. I just installed a Lightning digital cap into my system. I have 2 Optima yellow top batteries, but I'm still only getting a reading of a maximum 12.0 volts. I bought the cap off of ebay and it has a dent in it. Can this dent be causing the problem that I'm having? Do I need another cap? The batts are brand new and have been checked out to be OK.

Any insight will be appreciated.

Check all of your other connections. Make sure you have a good clean ground, make sure your fuse isn't corroded, make sure there isn't any corrosion on your wiring. You should also take a meter to the cap and see what voltage you are getting, the cap voltage gauge could be messed up.
