Does anyone know if there are Custom Sub Enclosures for a Chevy TrailBlazer?
I am looking for something that will take up very little room. I would like to fit one or two 10" subs. IF there is not a custom enclose available to date does anyone know another way of installing subs without taking up much room in this vehicle?

Well you could get one 12" and make a great box for it. it'll sound good.

I don't want a "box" in there. The reason being is that I go to Drive-In's and lay the seats down so I can hang out in the back of my TrailBlazer. Installing a box in the back will take up too much room and be in the way. I was thinking about installing a box under the rear seats but I don't think I'd be able to fold the seats down.

Thanks,

Q-Logic probably makes a custom mounting box that would work.  Their website is www.qlogic.ws

Well my mom has a 2002 Trail Blazer, she has the extended version si I don't know if the shorter version have this.  But behind the 3rd row of seats, perhaps after the 2nd row for the short version, there is a little "trap door".  If you open it it's a small 20 inch by 16 inch (approx. off the top of my head guess) and about 8 inches deep.  That could easily hold a sub woofer.  Just buy some mdf wood and build a small box that could sit directly into the hole.  I'll take a picture of the "trap door"if you don't see what I'm talking about

You can also check the Crutchfield site about the Q-Logic enclosures made for certain vehicles.

Or you could throw out some money and have an installer cut a hole in the back cargo area floor and have the sub flush mounted with the floor and the enclosure on the underside of the vehicle. Then would just need a good grill or other type of protection for the sub and you would lose no space.

Unfortunately Q-Logic does not make a custom molded encloseure nor does MTX or JL Audio. Yes, there is a little trap door in the back, however mine is only about 3 to 4" deep. That probably isn't sufficient room, or is it? I like the idea of making the speaker flush with the floor but I think my spare underneath the truck will get in the way. Fiberglass is a good idea since I know someone who is awesome with the stuff.
I've looked at Bazooka tubes because I can put it on the wheel well and it would pretty much be out of the way, but do Bazooka tubes put out high quality or bass?

Thanks For The Ideas!!! Keep them comming :)

Well, on the fiberglass idea I have seen an install in a suv where they removed the panel from one side in the back and built a fiberglass enclosure that was identical to that panel and installed the subs that way. Pretty cool looking. Looked factory and lost no space but was rather costly to do, but if you know someone then that may be an option as well.
