I am looking for information on how to get to both front, rear and tweeter locations, the sizes of the front and rear speakers, and how to remove the Radio.  If it helps I have a 2003 honda accord lx V6 with six disk in dash changer.  I am looking to buy replacement speakers for the front speakers and tweeters as well as replacing the back speakers.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to www.carstereohelp.com. They have step by step instructions on everything that you just mentioned.      Brian

I checked out that site and I didn't find anything that pertained to my vehicle.  The speaker chart wasn't working at all, probably being updated, but there was nothing listed under stereo removal.  if you think it's there then please post/pm/email me the link for the actual page, maybe i'm just not seeing it.

Thanks,

Ken

That particular vehicle might be too new and they have not researched it yet. Sorry.     Brian

6.5's in the front and 6x9's in the rear.....check out Crutchfield's web site cuz they've done the measurements for this vehicle and can show you just what will and will not fit in the vehicle.

As for the radio removal, just out of curioisity why did you want this info?  Because to do the speakers it's not required at all...speaker harnesses will allow you to use the factory speaker wiring.

Anyways here's how to get the radio out if you still want to do that.  I have no idea how to get to the speakers though as I've not done any in this vehicle yet.

1.  Gently pry up to remove shift trim bezel
2.  open ashtray/small storage pocket.  remove pocket, and extract two screws from pocket opening.  Unplug and remove assembly.
3.  extract two screws from lower part of large dash storage pocket.  With pocket door closed pull toward shifter to unsnap clips and remove.
4.  extract two 8mm bolts from under radio assembly brackets
5.  from above radio assembly, gently pry out on vent/hazard panel. continue along both sides of panel gently releasing clips.  lift up, unplug, and remove.
6.  extract 3 screws from top of radio assembly.  Pull toward shifter to unsnap clips.  Unplug and remove.

I want to use the factory radio to power 2 line converters for an amp, I just didn't want to cut any of the wiring so I'm gonna use a forward and reverse harness for the speaker and everything else that's why i needed the speaker harnesses.  Thanks for the help, I'll have to give this a try.

just in case anyone wanted to know, the front speakers are 6.5, but will need at least 1/2 inch spacers, I plan on using 1 inch spacers.  The rear speakers are 6x9, and I'm not even going to bother with the front tweeters at least not replacing them in the factory locations.  For the amp there is a clean firewall break just inside the DS above the fender, it''s a little tight inside the engine bay, but easy to get to inside the car.  Thanks for all the help.
