I have just bought an Alpine CD Receiver CDE-7826R. Can anyone give me installation instructions or a downloadable owner's manual? The block connector is no trouble but I don't know where to connect the blue/white remote cable or the 2 RCA output connectors. What does RCA stand for? As you can see I am a tad ignorant about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to install the piece into a Saab 900, 1989 model. It does not have a remote stalk or any fancy gadgetry like that,

The blue/white remote cable would run to your amplifiers to turn them on. The 2 RCA outputs will also run to your amps, one will be front and one will be rear.

Thanks for the help. So this cd player needs an external amp as well? Oh dear.

Not necessarily. The RCA outputs send a non-amplified signal to an external amplifier (it's a cleaner signal for an external amplifier to process with less distortion). Unless your receiver doesn't have regular speaker outputs (most do have them though), then you don't have to use an external amp.

If you don't plan on installing an external amplifier, then you do not have to connect the remote lead to anything.
