hello, i'm new to this so i'm hoping this is in the right spot, i am wondering if anyone would have some helpful info that would help me finish my project, i am planning on putting 4 - MTX T8124A's (each sub will get 1.25 cu/ft) which will be powered by a pair of kenwood X-celon 401 sub amps, with will be controlled with a epicenter, up front i am planning on running 2 pairs of sony 6.5" 3 way speakers running off of a kenwood X-celon 301 amp @2 ohm stereo and for the rear a pair of sony 6x9 3 ways running off a kenwood x-celon 201 amp, i will also have an eq set up to control the sound quality for the highs, i'm mostly wondering if anyone has done this size install in a 1995 neon or have pics that can shed some light and hopefully point me in the right direction

I hope you've got a powerplant under the hood. With four subs wanting 400 watts, and those two amps you seem to be matching rms values, but its going to suck up some major juice. That's a boatload for any vehicle. I have a 1995 Plymouth Neon running two tens 200 watts each, and my fronts 50 watts each, and have no trouble with lights dimming, but my whole system is only drawing around 35 amps from my alternator. Hope you've got a high output alternator in there. Also, with 1.25 cubic feet per sub I hope you don't need any extra room in your trunk. I suppose you could fabricate some kick panels for the second set of 6.5's to improve imaging. You might also want to consider laying down a healthy amount of sound deadener, especially if your going to compete. My Neon doesn't rattle that much except for the rearview mirror, but quite obviously yours will be pounding much harder. I suspect it'll shake like a baby rattle with that much air moving around.

im with troy i hate sony. as for the 4 subs you can go with 2 in bigger ported enclosures and get the same or better sound. this will help with the alternator also.
