I am going to be installing my new system soon and I have been waiting to buy an amp kit.  I have a JBL BP600.1 amp powering an Eclipse aluminum 12" dvc sub.  I was going to go with a 4 gauge kit, but then I thought if I decided to get another amp for my speakers sometime in the near future, I would have to redo all the power, becuase 4 GA wouldnt cut it.  My problem is this...the JBL amp has "direct-connect" and 4 GA is the biggest wire it takes.  Im not sure whether I should put 2 GA in and run it to a distro-block, and send 4 GA from the distro to the amp, this way I have wiring flexibility in the future...what do you guys think i should do?

using two 4ga. power wires only requires using a 2ga. wire from distrobution block to battery. so if both amps are using at most 4ga use a 2ga power lead. dont forget to check the ground on the battery, it should always equal bigger than the wires being pulled off it
