How do you wire a cap into the power wire? Is there a ground wire needed? Any wire diagrams would be great thanks

If you have a dist. block just hook it up to an output of it as you would do with an amp. you have to run a ground wire from the (-) terminal to the chasis in the car

the cap gets splice into the positive line of the amp with its own ground. the seperate ground keeps the amp's ground shorter which lessens chances of over heating
