yeh i been thinkin and people say that my amps will draw about 200 amps max. Well to buy a new 210 amp alt. is like 800 bucks. So why couldnt i just buy 2 alt. form napa for my truck that make 110 amps each and then make a bracket on my motor and mount them?? that would be 220 amps plenty to run my stereo. then i wouldnt have to fool with the electrical system on my truck. Then i oucld have a seperate battery for my stereo like a yallow top and not have to touch anything on my truck?? Thanks.

What kind of trunk do you have? You should be able to find a 200 amp alternator for $300-400. If your audio system alone will use 200 amps then you also have to take into account the current that the cars electrical system will draw. So you will need more then 200 amps.
I would suggest that you call around and get some prices from these guys,
