What's the difference between a single & a dual voice coil sub?

If I take a specific sub model (for example: Infinity perfect 12) & compare the single to the dual

What are the variations in: power, resistance, kick & overall performance?

The only advantage to a dvc woofer is wiring flexibility, there is really no difference in performance between a DVC and a SVC sub. JL has a good tutorial that discuses DVC subs https://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/dvc/index.html
