i have a kicker comp 12" subwoofer. and the wire going from the terminal to the cone broke. now there is a very short nub, if any at all, coming off of the cone, and i tried to solder but it is impossible. i was wondering if any one did this kind of repair or knows where i could get it done. i was told it is a really cheap $10-$15 repair. i dont really want to put any more than that into it. i only bought the subwoofer for $40, and i can get them new now from $30-$50.

i also have an older kicker comp 12" that i guess is blown, it sounds like crap out of the box. it crackles and all, and when u puch it down, u can hear it crunching. is there any way to repair this?

i also have a xtant 1001d amplifier. it has a hole burnt in the circuit board. i was told u could solder small wires where the board is burnt. also, how can i test the capacitors and resistors to see if those are bad? any pictures would also really help. thanx!

hehe, it's very risky mate!!... my cousin used to pull the cable(wire) too hard from his ALPINE sweeter, the cooper wire is thiner than anything, would say about human hair strength.... it took us like 2 sweaty hours to get solder  from one terminal to the broken one...  have to be very becarefull with those solder, u have to use the smallest one (mobile phone soldering head.. as myself a Mobile Phone rep and repair ) and very skillfull in those type or soldering jobs....

as long as i know u can get ur amp and ur sub repair from TV or Electronics Repairs center... pretty sure there heaps of stores around ur area....
