I think you would be better off running with the MRD500. Being a class D amp it will be least taxing on your electrical system. And puts out a nice amount of power to run that 15!! Also the MRV 1507 is one rather large amp!

Also if you were to go with the MRV 1507 you would only be feeding your sub with 225 watts per voil coil as this amp isn't 2ohm mono stable.

Well are you just looking to run the one sub. Is there any chance in the furture you may want to run a second cause then you might want to look into getting that JBL BP 1200.1.

I only just noticed that you have the 2ohm version. So are you intending to run these subs at 1ohm? If so i'm not too sure if the MRD-500 is 1 ohm stable. I'm sure someone else will shed some light on that though.

MRD isnt 1ohm stable..... i actually got it on special price... i might have to use 2 amp to run it each at 2ohms...

Yeah that could be a way to go. Not entirely safe but a few ppl do it. Otherwise i would keep looking into that JBL if you can get it anywhere in this darn country!

well yeah, but at the moment i have to bridge my Sub to 4ohms and then bridge my amp to 4ohms load then i can use it for a while i am still looking for some amp... and some stuff i am looking a really good amp that will feed my 15" 2ohms.... might need to get a 2 ch with 300w x2 @2ohms... something like...JBL is good..but just cant get it in australia... if it said on my sub DVC 500w and peak 1500w , does it mean each voice coils need 250w to run??

Yeah that is 250 per coil to run. Yeah it would all be a lot easier if we could get JBL in Australia.

man, go with the mrv 1507!!!!!!!!!!!! my friend has one in his 99 dodge ram, running 4 old school rockfords, 2000 watts max, he his hitting 162 DB, i have experience with those mrd, they suck, impossible to use, and i find they put hardly any power out, go with the MRV,

i realize that too, MRV give 450w RMS per channel @ 2ohm ... wow that wat i want for my subby...... my cousin got one mrv1507 driving the 15" PG .... mad amp, he doesnt give it up or want to sell it, guess i have to shop around for it..... i read about mrd500, not bad but just not enuff power to feed my sub.. another thing, My sub is 500w @ 2ohm (DVC) so (250wRMS per coil) ,....bridge sub 500w @ 4ohm ... if i use my MRV T757 (750w max) bridge at 400w RMS @ 4ohm (100w less than the sub) do you guys think i will hurt the sub?... or might kill the sub? for a time being i want to use for afew months before i find the mrv1507... or it will kill the amp first?
