just purchased a 2003 silverado ss and would like to put a stereo in it.  it has stering wheel controls as well as the driver info center controlls.  does any manufactor make a peice to intergrate the gm cbus 2 so that i don't have a problem with the computer features, i don't care so much about the radio controlls on tge steering wheel do i don't want to loose my drver info, door chime, or other features

You may want to check out Peripheral Electronics.  They have alot of stuff for class 2 wired GM cars.

Metra and Soundgate both have the piece you need.. it's just a chime adapter that has a multiplex wire and power into it.. also has a acc wire for your aftermarket radio.. you'll notice that the factory harness has no accessory.. they both work well..

there are also adaptor from peripheral for the sterring wheel audio buttons.. I believe you will need a radio with remote control capibilities..

is your driver info on the dash or on the radio display, on a escalade 2003 we did the info was in the insturment cluster and we used the above mentionede parts to intergrate, but if the info is on the radio display you will have to keep the radio in the truck to take advantage of them.
