ok ive got 2 kicker comp vr 12s the 2ohm version im lost as to 1 how to wire them to the amp and 2 wut load to wire them at 2 or 4 ohm loads...also i was told to get a kenwood mono amp its like 1000w max with like 230x2 @2ohms would this be good for these subs or would it blow em?

yea i know but im tight on the money u dont plan on putting alot to it now after a lil ill get a bigger amp though prob a bd

aight, well, i gues u would run the speakers at 2 ohms a piece on seperate channels

my friend told me this cut a wire about like 5-10" and connect one negative w/ or w/o the dot and the opposite positive together

u wire each speaker in its own parallel, and to its own channel

according to the jl site that would drop it to .5 ohm correct.... im still at a loss as to how to wire it to the amp if the ohms change

parallel then how to go from there 2 the amp?

Wire + to + - to - on the one sub then to the amp as well. To the left channel then do the same for the other sub to the right channel. You should really look into getting a bit more power to those subs.

nah. ok, here is what u do. if you have (2) 2-ohm dvc's. then you wire the first one so that it is 2-ohm and run it to one channel on the amp. then same with the second

Well have you looked at any other amps around the same price? Don't worry i had that same problem... you eventually lean to plan properlly before buying instead of just impluse buying.
