Hi, a while back I posted about how I bought a car radio off ebay, and how it sucked. Now I have noticed something else, the front right speaker doesn't work. I've checked fade and balance, and if I set the fade and balance to front and right, there's very little sound coming from the other speakers, but absolutely none coming from front right.

Now then, the people who installed the radio for me were professionals, and I think they'd notice that there was a problem. My question is though, could a wire in the harness could have come loose? Cuz I really can't imagine that happening seeing as that it was installed professionally and I thought if it was done improperly the whole thing would short out or something. I REALLY doubt the speaker is dead. I've never heard of a speaker just quitting completely... Or does my unit suck even more than before? Thanks for any help.:)

Assuming the speakers are being powered off the head unit, the most common causes for problems like this include: 1) wire splice coming loose at the head unit, 2) wire pulling off one of the speaker terminals, 3 ) bad amplifier channel.

Check all your connections, and if they all look OK, try a different speaker in the dead location.  If no sound from a known good speaker, the amplifier for that channel inside the head unit is out.
