i'm getttin the new cdt cl-61a this week and i want to have decent imaging, i was thinking about kicks but i dont' have the time to make them and the local shop was askign 400 so i was thinking how about putting the mid in the door and then the tweet in a guage holder on the a pillar or have my shop make that because it will for sure be cheaper then 400 dollars...how will the imaging be the tweets will be right towards you but will that sound bad because they are too far from the mid...some suggestions would be great too...don't really want to cut into the door panel
its going in a 2002 ford explorer

Most tweeter positioning comes down to personal preference. I would hook everything up and place the tweets in different locations and see which spot you like the best.

i believe on the JL audio jetta, they made a rack for the two tweets...and put in on the dash..looked good. how it sounded i dunno

but like bberman1 said...move the tweets around. double stick tape should hold for a while.
