I have a jeep grand cherokee with the infinity sound system. I am installing a sub woofer and I need to put on a LOC. The stock system has an amp under the left passenger seat. Do I hook up the LOC on the inputs to the amp, or the outputs from the amp to the speakers?

most LOCs are designed to be used on the output side of the amp, because the require a high level (amplified) signal. However, some are capable of using a low level signal. Depends on your LOC, but chances are it will be on the output side.

Make sure you also get an LOC rated for the proper wattage. You wouldn't want to put a 30w LOC into a factory amplified 60w system ------------- Squirrel

I don't see anywhere on the loc what it's rating is. Is there to test it? Also there are adjustments on the back. I assume this is to match the loc volume levels to the head unit, but I don't know how to do this. Can anyone help???

What's the make and model number of your LOC? If you don't know that, then where did you buy it? ------------- Squirrel

Just did a `96 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Infinity Gold system.The Electrical engineer for this system should be shot. The amp for this shares a 20 amp fuse with the whole dash circuit so I doubt it puts out 60 watts total to all 6 speakers.These speakers are 2 ohm. You will find that the wire colors at the speakers are NOT the same color at the plugs on the amp.Also the left and right speaker wires are on different plugs at the amp. Here`s what I found;[ RR+ brown w/black stripe~RR- brown w/red stripe.These are on the 10 pin plug at the amp.]....[LR+ white w/black stripe~LR- white w/ red stripe. These are on the 14 pin plug at the amp] Notice how the red and black stripes are just the opposite polarity of what you would think they would be. The remote wire is green w/red stripe on the 10 pin plug. You will want to use the rear speaker wires with your LOC as the front wires are crossovered. Good luck
