Hi all,Crutchfield sells foam baffles for a range of speakers, even subwoofers !!,now are they any good, will they distort the quality of the speaker ?,i know some use it with the bottoms cut out so they offer water protection to the door speakers, any other advantages or disavantages ?,has anyone tried them out ?

One more thing, the Crutch also sells a small device that warns you about the battery status, very cheap, does it do what it claims ?,is it posible to make something like that, after all last thing anybody wants is a dead battery cause the stereo took it all,any coments ?

Baffles can help on door speakers by "cleaning up their sound" It gives them a set amount of air space and can keep them from getting sloppy sounding. Just don't cut out the backs. I wouldn't recommend them for any larger speakers though. As far as the crutch device, All it does is keep an eye on your battery voltage and warn you when your voltage drops below a preset limit. I'm not sure what that limit is, so when it says your battery is low it may already be too late. A good device for the money, but not really all that useful. Hope this helps. L8R
