My 1999 Grand Am has a 4x6 in the lower door and a tweeter in the 'shark's fin'.  I want to replace these with Infinity component speakers.  The Infiniti's come with a crossover.  Is there seperate wiring from the radio to the two existing speakers that would allow the crossover to be located other than in the door?  Any suggestions for locating the crossover?

you could always mount them under your glove box, where nobody can see them.  like above the drivers and passengers feet.
