Im  wondering if it would be safe for the sub and amp if you bridge both channls(2-ch amp) into one sub? I am going to purchase a larger amp soon but was just wondering if it would be ok to do this?

As long as the total ohm load presented by the sub does not go below the minimum stable mono ohm load of the amp then you will be fine.

Need an equipment list to be more specific, but here's some examples...

Since most 2/4 channel amps are only 4ohm Mono stable, I'll use that as the minimum stable ohm load in these examples...

(1) 4ohm DVC wired in parallel and bridged... NOT STABLE, because it would present a 2ohm Mono load

(1) 2ohm DVC wired in series and bridged... STABLE, presenting a 4ohm Mono load

(1) 4ohm SVC bridged... STABLE, presenting a 4ohm Mono load

the sub is a dual 4ohm sub. can i run each channel to seperate sides of the sub and it still be stable?i want to be efficient but not hurt the sub or amp!or would this be inconsistant and dangerous?channels may not be the same and hurt the sub?

That's called Independant Wiring. Here's an link to a JL Audio tutorial on the dangers of Independant Wiring. It is not a recommended wiring method if it can be avoided. Are you able to get a different amp?
