This is just something that i had a thought on. Due too space i might scrap my idea of the 10's i was after but not sure yet. Just wondering what you guys think would be better.
 2x SWS-1041 or 1x SWR-1241D

 Amp is a Cadence z1000.

Which will hit harder and cleaner. Not too sure yet because i haven't heard either of these subs. At the top of my list is still the Eclipse SW6102.4, but i'm having second thoughts of those size of enclosure i need to build for them.

the r-12 will hit much hard than the s-10's but the eclipse will top them all the space given up is much worth it

i have 2 alpine tyre r 12's in the back of my 00 mustang the hit hard loud and clear. They outperformed my 2 audiobahn 1200q's, and the sq is 10 times better. the best part is you can find them for $270 a pair on ebay

Actually that was my next question. I'm pretty sure the eclipse 12 will outdo the alpine i just don't really want a huge box. And as i said i love my ten's so only will go to a 12 if it will be worth it too keep box size down.

So basically what i'm asking is it worth the larger box size to run 2x Eclipse SW6102.4 10's compared to a single 12 Alpine type R or Eclipse base model 12.

Well went and had me a listen to those apline and eclipse and i must say i don't really care much for the alpines a little to rough for my liking. Those eclipse however are bloodly unbelievable for an entry level sub! I'm pretty much certain on those 10's as i heard them in 3 different boxes with them sounding best in a 1cub/ft so if i build a box to those specs hello boot space and hello nice bass!

10's give a tighter faster response....the only air space to with is a sealed inclosure.....as for the size,10's or 12's it doesnt matter,as long as you buy the right subs....some 12's will handle  5.5 and larger when it comes to sealed air space...

Yeap sealed box. Lot easier to much and don't have to worry about tuning or anything... i'm too lazy and i don't really need the spl when i'm going for sound quality not saying that you can only have an SQ system with a sealed box though. I think they are going to give me enough kick as they are in a sealed.

I'm going with the Eclipse 10's. Was gonna go for the 12 but can't afford the huge price jump for the model i want.
