How do you setup a box for parallel subs?

Hello, If I have two - dual voice coil subs at 4ohms each and want to run them with a mono block amp for 2ohms then I have to run them in parallel right?, So how do you set up/connect a ported box for two subs with a  sold center brace seperating them?

Drill a hole thru the brace and run a wire to the second sub, fill with silicone sealant. Or you can use 2 terminal cups, one on each side of the brace, and wire to each terminal cup to achieve your parallel wiring. It isn't as tough as you are trying to make it.

uh... you can't wire (2) 4ohm DVC's into a 2ohm total load. (1) 4ohm DVC yes, but not (2). (unless I just misread your post and you ment you have (2) 2ohm DVC's wired at 4ohms each, then both wired back down to a 2ohm total load)

And as far as any wiring goes, you don't have to do anything special (like drilling or adding extra parts). See the pics below. Both pics show how to wire (2) 2ohm DVC's into a 2ohm total load (the same wiring method could also be used for wiring (2) 4ohm DVC's into a 1ohm total load). The top is how to "easily" wire using a dual chamber enclosure, the bottom one shows a manufacture's diagram. They are both the same thing...

Squirrel - In saying to use 2 terminal cups, your diagrams would be exactly what I was saying. The top diagram would use 2 terminal cups. One on each side of the brace for each chamber. The bottom one would be used for the other way I suggested in that the wires running from the first sub to the second would have to pass through his brace thus you would be able to drill a hole to pass the wire thru. I wasn't trying to tell him how to get his desired load since it looked like he knew what he was doing there.
