I am looking to do a sound system in my car i was wondering if 16 guage speaker wire is ok i am running a 200 watt kennwood, a200 watt A/D/S and 50 watt kenwood. and i was also wondering waht brand you would recommend i am looking at lightning audio eithe 16 bolt or 15 guage strike.

i would recomend 16 gauge wire for your remote wire that leads to your amp, 12 gauge wire to hook your speakers up to your amp, and 8 gauge wire to hook up the battery and the ground wire to your amp.

14 gauge for speakers and 12gauge for subs. These can all vary depending on how powerful your system is but will work fine for you.

16 awg is fine for those low power amps. lightnig audio is fine. wal-mart will have good deals on other wire as well.

homedeport has 12ga in larger quanities for cheap.
