I just installed a 4 channel la sound amp, however the amp keeps going into protection mode. I checked the ground which seemed fine and then i unplugged all the outputs. However the amp will still go into protection mode. I noticed that if i play a certain song from the outkast cd atlines, track 2 it goes into protection mode, or if i turn the volume up, what is the cause of this?

Check the RCA inputs and replace the RCA wires if there are any cracks or breaks in them. Also, make sure that your input voltage is not too high otherwise the amplifier can not handle the load. Most amps can handle a 2 volt input, but some decks can output 6 volts.

check the sub, if it is drawing a 20hm load on a 4odm stable amp this will occur.
