i purchased a rockford amp and it has outputs for 8ga speaker wire, i was wondering if i should use 8ga and where i can get it, or is 12ga still good? the amp is the 1000a power series.

If you are wanting to use 8ga speaker wire good luck finding speaker wire that size. I would recommend using 8ga power wire if you want to use that size. 12ga should be fine though.

check out https://www.Knukonceptz.com they have high strand 8 AWG speaker wire.  They also have tons of other wire like 1/0 AWG (5100 strands) for only $2.25 a foot..  It's factory direct.

I would just use 8 ga power wire for speaker wire. They have alot of cool looking colors now and you can get a clear jacket for the (-) and a ruby red for the (+).
