okay..im installing a cd deck in a 97 dodge neon, and i dont know what to say its just not going right. for some reason there is no sound. I plugged everything in and then went to each speaker with a digital tester. Im getting bout 6volts so im assuming that sound is comming? i dont know what the proper voltage is supposed to be? but anyway there just is no sound but signal is comming to the speakers. any advice?

does it have an infinity system in it? if so, the amp has to be turned on. i have come across a few dodge infinity systems that the amp(s) have to be bypassed. is there an amp on each speaker or just on amp that powers them all? also check the ohm load of the speakers and let me know what you get.
