I have a jensen LXA300 amp found here:

and im getting ready to put it into my car and was wondering if it would be appropriate to put this sub in

or is the amp not powerful enough to push this sub? if not what are the problems id run into? it says it should have a 100-300w amp on there but i dont know how acurate that is. i was also wondering if it is possible to run one sub off of the first channel and then my 2 rear speakers off of the 2nd channel? if it is possible could someone give me a general idea of how the wiring would look for this?

If you want to push that sub i'd be looking at a lot higher quaility amp. Because there is no way you will do that sub justice with so little power. But yeap of course it will run it. But if that is all you can afford you can always upgrade to a better sub amp later on.
I couldn't get the amp page to come up, but that sub is a 4ohm SVC, rated 250 RMS / 1000 Peak. You could throw up to apx. 500 watts to it and be safe. You will have a major performance issue if you use too little power, and could cause the amp to clip (where you end up pushing the amp too hard past it's limits), and you will get a very distorted signal and the amp will shut down. This can cause damage to both the amp and sub.
As long as the gains are set correctly you should be safe. But you would get better performance and sound quality with a higher power/higher quality amp like Nedgeworth said above.
