Metra 2003T Series Installation. I bought a General Motors Class 2 Data Retention Harness too hook up my Poineer DEH-P750MP.

I'm having a problem deciding witch wires to hook up or to decide there not going to be used. I have only 3 wires left.

1. Illumnation+ 2. Dimmer,  and  a Blue White striped wire that I could not read. What are these wires for? Do I need to hook them up to mt deck?... My door chim still does not work.

To make things easier I would use the Metra part no. VT-GMRC-01.  It contains all the neccesary electronics to keep all the data functions of the car, and it also has a speaker built in to retain the door chime.  The module also gives you a +12volt switched ignition lead so you don't have to run a different wire to the fuse panel or ignition harness.  You also won't have to relocate the factory radio else where in the car.  It would be a real time saver!!!  The Blue/White is the remote turn-on lead used to turn on amplifiers if your adding any.  Just cap off the illumination and dimmer wires. If the Pioneer has an illumination wire all it does is dim the backlighting when the headlights turn on, it's not a required connection unless you think the display is too bright at night.

Hope this helps!!
