Hey Guys,

Quick question.  I get MTX gear at cost, and definitely want to get the new Thunder 9500 Series.  Now question, in terms of amp to the sub, would you guys recommend the MTX 1501D?  Remember, I want to stick with MTX here, because I know there is better.  I heard that I should really consider running 2 1501D amps into the 9500 sub?  Is that true?  Power rating on that amp is 1,500w peak, 1,000w RMS @ 2ohms, or 500w RMS @ 4ohms.  What do you guys think?

Also, I have a crank pulley in my car, will it be able to handle the power output?

One more question, what kind of box would you recommend using for the 9500?

well it depends on how you are going if you wire your sub in the right configuration your amp will be able to produce max power. If you are running more then one sub you still should consider running one amp with the DVC's on these subs as many DVC's you will be able to match your lowest resistance for the amp using the subs.    If you use more then one amp per sub or using one sub one amp configuration your amps will need to match your crossovers exactly! this is not as easy as it sounds trust me.   As far as the box the new 9500's are absolutly ungodly in a vented box.   I will alwasy recomend vents over ports.     I find it easier to make a vent clearer then a port. If you are looking for exact specs I could help you with those or if you are looking for a box to be built in the MO<KS<IA<NB area thats where I am       let me know if you need any more help
