after installing my head unit i discovered the temp. in the dash raises to a level where the head unit will not properly operate, (e.g. wont play cd's) right now i have the headunit pulled out and the ac aimed towards the top of the unit does any body have any suggestions in which i could keep the headunit in the dash.

The car is a 2002 altima, and the head unit is a single din

Are you running new speaker's and speaker wires in this car ? If not you are probably running the amp on the head unit at a higher impedence and the amp is over heating.
