Hi,
I just picked up a cd player for my 97 Maxima which has a cassette right now. Turns out it's the bose cd that I got, from a 96 Maxima, and I heard that I need an amp to make it work. I was wondering if I could bypass the amp and still get it to work. My friend says he has an extra bose amp from a 97 Acura CL that I could have, is there any way to find out if that will work with my car? Thanks for your help.

Your better off trying to find an aftermarket CD player and use the existing wiring. Even if you get the Acura Bose amplifier to wor, it will require you to get the harnesses and extend all the wires for them to the back of the deck.
