that car has lots of room back there heh
I had a festiva that was similar in size and used two cerwin-vega 12" DVC subs in a 4.38cu foot box, ported at 35Hz with an Orion 280GX @2ohms stereo for 320WRMS total and it was fantastic.
you should be able to fit just about anything back there
that first car on cardomain is a Corsa and has two MTX 15" subs
if ya need real small, go JL or Kicker sealed subs (solobarics)

thank u mr wolf for taking the time to check out the site but as i initially said the car has a lot of room but when yur car is a daily driver and your wife uses it and i myself at times need to carry stuff well it becomes a bother so i want or would like the same bass as my jls produce now in a small space any reccomendations

ahh okay wasn't sure there.. I thought that might be your concern.
well then, moving right along *grin*
here are a few ideas:
1: take out the spare tire, and put in a board or fiberglass a box that drops in, to hold a single 10" or 12" sub. (if you have roadside assistance, this is ideal. let them deal with a flat)
2: look at stillwater solobarics, or JL W7 subs. both are made for a sealed box, and use small volume enclosures. Then build a box for a single 10" sub, and try to put it against one side of the back to save space. again, figerglas sis ideal since you can shape it to fit in there against the wheel well so it takes the least amount of space while giving you adequate volume internally for that 10". then give the 10" plenty of power so it can really move some air in spite of it's size.
maybe a JL 500/1 amp or something.
3: perhaps something removable (the temp solution I used for my Jeep in fact) of a bass tube where you can just unplug it and toss it aside when ya need the space.
I can relate. I'm working on a box design for four 12" subs for a grand cherokee right now that's a daily driver for a competition system. difficult to save space and still have it work well.
Also check with companies like MTX or Q-Logic. they make custom molded boxes for cars that save space.

Did you ever consider clamshelling the subs? As in they are face to face
touching each other. You can mount two subs and take up the same room
(well just a little bit more) as one sub. I had two crunch 12's mounted this way and it sounded great. You just have to wire up the outside sub in reverse, that way its pulling while the other sub is pushing. Just an idea.

isobaric enclosure. works well, I did one in an Accord with 2 12" subs. drawback is that it's not any louder than a single 12". -3dB SPL, but +3dB in efficiency since two subs are working to move the same mass of air, they each have to work less.
Good design though, but you need to be careful of the external sub as to not damage it. no way to toss a waffle grille on one of those boxes liek you can a sealed or ported box (non-inverted)
just something to think about if this car has stuff thrown in the back a lot.
