I was origionally thinking about the Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1, but couldn't find an audio store with this on display to listen to. I did however hear the Xtant X104's and loved them. They were really clean. I was wondering how they compared for those that have listened to them. SQ is more important than SPL on these two.
Also, I was thinking about the kappa perfect 5.1's (5 1/4" components) but listened to the Focal 165 A's (6 1/2" components). I liked the focals, but didn't get to hear the infinity's. I really like the mids that they had. They were clear, but the highs weren't over bearing. I was also wondering people opinions about these.
Just so you know, I have an '03 Ford Focus SE 4 door. I put kappa 5x7s in the doors (they have bright highs, which is why i am looking for more mids). I have an old school alpine deck right now, but plan to put an Alpine CDA-9815 in. I am looking at 2 10's run by a JBL BP600.1. Run the door speakers off the deck and put the components in q-form kick panels up front run by an Alpine 50x2 amp or US Acoustics 65 x 2 amp.
i have the infinity 12.1 and i just love them and im underpowering them by 75wrms

If you want clean sound go with MB Quart or Focal.
i enjoy my kappa series 5.25 components in the front and my 6x9s in the back powerd at 65watts a piece, they sound awesome, perfect clarity, and they have nice midbass. perfect for what i was lookin for, not too shabby of aprice, less money than focals...
You might also want to listen to the Eclipse Aluminum's they have an excellent mix of SQ and SPL
