I have an older model 10 disc changer (kenwood) and a new kenwood cd receiver(kdc-722) that i want to install in my vehicle (1999 ford expedition).Is this possible, or will i need some kind of harness adapter.

You'll definately want to get a wiring harness like the Metra 70-1771 and the Metra 99-5804 dash kit.  These are the Metra part numbers for your truck, but there are other brands that are just as good (like Scosche.)  The total cost of the two Metra parts is $30 to $35, and well worth it.  You can buy them almost any where car stereo parts are sold.

Kenwood did change their changer protocol this year.  The deck may not be able to communicate with the older changer.
