I am doing a big install tommorrow and need some last minute advice. I am going to install an alpine headunit and EQ model 3342. i already have the wire harness to plug the head unit in, and since it's the alpine iwth no internal amp, wiring the headunit should be fairly easy right? my question concerns the EQ though, it's a digital EQ and has power wires just like the headunit, my question is can i just tap into the same wires as the headunit?? Like the battery lead wire(yellow) it's fairly long on the EQ, since i bought this EQ used from someone, i was wondering why the yellow wire is much longer than the other wires, also the Blue turn on wire, can i tap that into the headunits turn on wire??? Thanks for looking and extra input that you think might be help would be great, Thanks for looking!

Yes you can tap into any of those wires for the EQ . BTW: the remote turn on lead for an Alpine is Blue/White, the BLUE is the power antenna lead and will only have power if you turn on your tuner.
