I am going to purchase a two channel amp and hook it up to a single 10"  4ohm sub Is this the best for this configuration? With this setup up what will i be running at 2 or 4 ohm?

Is the sub a DVC? Also do we need either the model # of your amp or the specs

List the make and model of the sub too if your able.

But even without the specifics, I'd recommend looking into a Class D mono amp instead to run a sub (unless of course you've already bought the amp). Class AB multi-channel amps can be used to run subs, but you'll usually end up paying more per watt than you would a Class D. If you do some searching on this site, you'll find a lot of information on the differences between Class AB and Class D amps (as in what they were "designed" for vs. what they "could be" used for).
