89 grand prix wire harness?

i picked up a harness matching the year make and model for this car, but it does'nt fit. I tried severals stores and they all have the same harness. it looks like i am going to have to cut the factory harness off and wire straight to it. The old units were seperated (am/fm radio with controls and then tape deck beside it)(89 grand prix le 2.8L V6)

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the factory harness or know of harness that will fit this car?

is there not a factory amp on these cars too?  pretty sure there is....and the harness you SHOULD be looking for (and the one that the plug you bought will fit) will be plugged into the amp.  The radio/controls and the tape deck should all have cables running back to the amp...

Yeah, there was a factory amp located above the glove box, under the dash. The harness fit perfect. Thanks for the help. Saved me a lot of trouble.
