Im thinking about ordering an alpine mrd-m500 and was wondering if anyone has had a good/bad experience with them, or ever worked with them? Pretty much are they a good amp?

i have one running 3 12" type-e subs.  The amp is rated as 2 ohm stable, but i wired my subs in parallel and got it down to 1.333 ohm, still plays strong, i only had it shut off once from a volage surge.......since i am running it at 1.3 ohm, haha, but it has so many protection functions its imposible to over heat, connect wrong, or blow from voltage spikes, it has every kind of computerized protection you can think about.  And the best thing i like about it is its amazing clarity at high volumes, plus the MAX current draw is 35 amps since its so efficient.  I watched the display when it was set at amperage and it almost never sucks over 10 amps at peak bass times.

The hottest i have ever gotten it was 35 degrees celcius, but that was in the hot summer months, very cool running amp.  has so many adjustements it will boggle your mind!

GO FOR IT!!!
