I just installed a Panasonic CQ DP 103U head unit and a MTX 4122 in my Dodge dakota. My problem is when I change frof cd to radio the ub powereed by the amp makes a loud popping sound. This also happes when I change through the radio stations. Any Ideas?

Bad ground on the head unit or bad RCA cables to the amp.

make sure the RCA cables are pretty much isolated and are not close to any other wires
