I just new pioneer speakers for my car and i lost the instruction manual. basicaly the speaker has two connectors(to connect to the amp/headunit)  the only difference is ther size. how do i know which connector gets the + and which gets the - and does it matter.

The terminal with the capacitor (small cylinder electrical component that blocks low frequencies) on it is the Positive terminal.

If the speaker is a coax (2way) then there will be a capacitor on the positive lead between the speaker terminal and the positive lead on the tweeter. Follow the lead back and you will find out which one is the positive terminal. In most cases the larger lead is also the positive.
