i have a 2001 kia optima that was wrecked it had a am/fm cass.cd player in it. and i  hooked it up in my 1978 ford pick up but i hardly have any volume,does any one no what would be the problem [help]

Check the impedance of your speakers in your truck. if they are 8 ohm or worse then you are losing a minimum of 50% of the output from your head units's amplifier.
