Find yourself a specialty retailer, generally owned by themselves, ignore their selection of lines that they carry and start asking questions. Then go to your favorite big box in your area and ask the same questions again, come back here and ask the same questions again. After a short while you will probably start to see some either drastic problems or the same advice, all the while you will be learning. Advice is free my friend, how you use it is up to you. I am a high end specialty retailer and get flooded with questions like yours all the time, the more things you ask, the more that you will learn. Books are great but imagine not knowing math and picking up a trigonemetry book for the first time, read the stereo mags, read whatever you can, if you have questions, pop on here and someone will answer them for you.
------------- Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
