I have a 2002 avalanche. I am putting in an alpine cda-9815 head unit. i need to know what all i need to do to keep my onstar system. also, i have the factory speakers replaced and are being driven by an amp (so there are no speakers for onstar to sound through). do i need adapter harnesses...or can i simply splice wires? Any help would be awesome!!!

Pac makes the adapter for your truck. Plug and play. Get the chime module while you are at it.
